Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Episode 6 Recap
The latest episode spends most of its time on Yamamoto versus Royd and Yhwach. Meanwhile, Ishida reads in the journal that speaks of a Quincy extermination 1000 years ago, where Captain Yamamoto was present. He wonders if it is connected to the purge that happened 200 years ago.
Yamamoto facing Yhwach apparently boosts the morale of both sides. The old man takes out 3 Sternritters immediately as they try to intervene. As the battle begins, the Captain takes advantage. He proves his strength superior to that of Yhwach, pushing him on the defensive.
Followed by this, Yamamoto actives Zanka no Tachi, his Bankai. It has four special attacks, named by the directions. East compresses all his flames into the tip of his blade, making it the most dangerous weapon. West makes his body temperature that of 15 million degrees, making him untouchable.
South allows him to raise corpses. These are people that the enemy has slain and they try to take the killer down. Lastly, North allows the Captain to unleash a slash that obliterates everything and everyone in its path. Using these, he absolutely crushes Yhwach.
As Yhwach falls defeated, he begs for forgiveness from his master, shocking the Captain. Turns out, this was not the real Yhwach. Captain had been fighting Loyd all along. The real Yhwach had gone to recruit Aizen from the Underground Prison, albeit unsuccessfully.
Yhwach then goes ahead and steals Zanka no Tachi, something which only he is capable of doing. He then slashes the Captain diagonally, bidding him goodbye.
