Campfire Cooking: Plot, Manga, Light Novel

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill is based on the light novel of the same name, written by Ren Eguchi. It has also been made into manga series. Both the light novel and manga are ongoing at present.

Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi has been published digitally in English as Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill by J-Novel Club since May 6, 2019. The light novel currently has 13 published volumes. The next volume is expected to come out in the latter half of 2023.

The manga has 9 published Volumes and the 10th Volume is expected to release in December 2023. In 2018, the manga adaptation was ranked as the second-best Isekai manga by Japanese bookstore employees.

The anime adaptation is produced by MAPPA studio, which is known for its work in Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Vinland Saga, and so on.

Campfire Cooking is an isekai anime, featuring Mukouda Tsuyoshi and his adventures in a new world. Mukouda was on his way to home when he suddenly found himself in a completely new and unknown place.

He had been summoned by the magicians of the new world to save their country from some threat. But he didn’t possess any such skills, despite being from the “other world”.

His seemingly pathetic skill “Online Supermarket” turned out to be a boon in the strange place. With great cooking abilities and ingredients from Japan, Mukouda wins the favor of everyone around him and Fenrir as a familiar. Despite the mishap, he decides to enjoy this new life to his best.

4 episodes of this season have been released so far. A new episode comes out every Wednesday at midnight. The anime will air 12 episodes in total.
