Chainsaw Man is a gore and mutant-based anime where the main character is living his life as a contract killer for the person he owes money, when a contract goes wrong and he is killed, his dog-devil merges with him allowing him to turn into a “Chainsaw Man” who gets contracted to kill devils. Chainsaw Man Movie Trailer
On the second day of the Jump Fiesta 2024, dated 17th December 2023’ Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc was announced to be adapted as a movie and not as the continuance of the series.
The trailer is only a 51-second video which does not show much about what will be happening or anything about how the movie is going to be adapted. Also, the character of Reze was revealed during the teaser trailer, though no concrete answer is given as to when the official trailer will be released.
Chainsaw Man Ending of Season 1: Recap
The ending of Chainsaw Man ends on a major cliffhanger as the audience gets to see “Makima” giving a wry smile as if she knows where to catch the Gunhead devil and is preparing for the hunt. On the other side, they show Reze the Bomb devil hiding in the shadows waiting to find her chance to get rid of Denji and his chainsaw devil.

What Is Makima Planning and Who is the New Character?
Towards the end of the first season, Makima is seen manipulating Denji who is completely in love with her. Reze is seen lurking in shadow during this time which points the audience in the direction of confusion of, how did Reze know where to find Denji?
There is also a rumor that the terrorism act is all part of Makima’s plan to use Denji and then get rid of him before he finds out the truth and starts to hinder her plans.
The anime or the manga never talk about who Makima really is and what her powers really are, even though the audience gets to see Makima using her powers, there is no real explanation given as to what they are and how they work.
Chainsaw Man Movie Release Date
As of now, only a teaser trailer has been uploaded and there are no official trailers out either so there is a possibility that the movie will be released around the end of 2024 or then even at the start of 2025.
