Dragon Ball Super Season 2 has been delayed for the longest time ever and now fans are wondering if there even is a Season 2 for the anime. No new news have been released in the last week months and that is we are here with the expected release date and an explanation for the delay.

The first episode of Dragon Ball Super aired on July 5, 2015, and instantly become a hit among the Dragon Ball fans from all over the world. One hundred thirty-one episodes were released with the title of the last episode being “A Miraculous Conclusion! Farewell, Goku! Until We Meet Again!” and fans have been waiting for the anime to return since then.

Toei Animation, the studio behind the Dragon Ball Series is said to have already started on Season 2 but no official news has been released yet. There have been hints for a new second movie in the works behind the scenes after the release of the Dragon Ball Super Movie.

Dragon Ball Super Season 2

Many fans expect the season 2 of the Dragon Ball anime to feature Broly but it has been confirmed that Broly will not be a part of the Season 2. Dragon Ball Super manga has been continuing for a while and even though the manga has strayed away from the anime plot, there are high chances that the Moro arc will be adapted for the second season of the anime.

Everything about the upcoming Dragon Ball Super 2 is a rumor right now and nothing has been confirmed as of yet, today we will be discussing how things are going at the Toei Animation and when can we expect the Season 2 to be released.

So with all that there’s one question arising in everyone’s mind.

Will There Be A Season 2 Of Dragon Ball Super?

Yes, Even though a release date has not been set, the new season of the Dragon Ball Super has been confirmed. Dragon Ball Super Season 2 is hundred percent a possibility, the Season 1 ended at the end of the Tournament of the power arc and there were so many things that were not covered in Season 1.

Vegeta’s promise to Cabbba to visit plant Sadal once the tournament is over is still to be fulfilled and we expect the Season 2 to have Vegeta visiting planet Sadal.

Most of the times anime adaptations are based on their ongoing manga chapter but for Dragon ball it’s different. Dragon Ball Super anime always had its own plot and the manga always lagged behind. We don’t expect the upcoming Dragon Ball Super 2 season to be fully based on the ongoing manga, maybe Toei will have an unique plot for the anime.

So when can we expect it to be released, realistically?

There are news of Overlord Season 4 and One Punch Man Season 3 getting released soon as well, so we keep you updated with their news as well.

Dragon Ball Super Season 2 Anime Expected Release Date

There were many news floating on the Internet as how the Season 2 of the Dragon Ball Super anime will premiere in July 2020 but we have not heard anything regarding that from Toei Animation yet.

Because of the COVID-19 situation, many anime and manga titles have been delayed and that may be one of the reasons behind Dragon Ball Super anime season 2 not releasing this week.

According to some unofficial sources on Twitter, The Dragon Ball Super Season 2 anime will start airing on Junly 2021 and we are very confident about it releasing in 2021.

According to an article by Newsweek, the Season 2 has been in pre-production since September 2018 and if this information is true, then the chances of Season 2 premiering in 2021 increases immensely.

Newsweek explained that the Season 1 felt rush, and the animations in some of the episodes were subpar as well. Toei this time wants to come with the best in terms of storyline and animation and that is why the Season 2 for the anime has been delayed.

Expected Storyline And Plot

The tournament of power arc was the main focus of Season 1 anime but things went differently with the manga. As of now, the Moro arc is going on in the manga and fans are expecting that it will be the main focus of the Season 2.

Dragon Ball Super Storyline

Moro is someone who has haunted the universe for thousands of universe and he gets his powers by devouring life force from planets and that is why he is a threat to the multiverse. Goku and Vegeta have trained hard to go against Moro but will their new powers be enough?

Moro arc will make a good storyline for the Dragon Ball Super 2, but fans want more. Fans want Toei to animate Vegeta visiting planet Sadala and meet the king. Vegeta will maybe train them and tell them the story of King Vegeta and how planet Vegeta exploded in Universe 7.

Here’s what a famous Youtuber CallMEARJ had to say about the upcoming Dragon Ball Super season.

The Promised Neverland Season 2 anime adaptation has been announced and will start airing soon, we hope to see the same with Dragon Ball Super 2 anime and Baki Season 4.
