The latest chapter is out and Garou is on a crazy rampage. His skills are more polished than ever and his face shows so much rage. Fans are very excited about One Punch Man Chapter 148 as it will continue on with Garou’s battle.
And alongside that, several new battles will pan out between the Monsters and the Heroes.
You know, the manga is going quite differently from the webtoon. Up until chapter 130, the differences were subtle and not that many. But this current fight has been reworked heavily.
While the end result and the main fights will be similar, the chronology of events have been altered, certain new fights and abilities have been shown and of course, most fights have been extended.
While the manga is generally better than the webcomic, there are certain elements that we miss. For example, right around this area, there is a confrontation between King and the monster cadres.
As usual, we get to see King’s hilarious interactions with them, where he looks for chances to escape while his opponents grossly overestimate him!
Once again, Saitama is absent. Couple chapters ago, we saw his meeting with Blast and the strange phenomenon that Blast was handling. Maybe it is the premonition for the next saga, we can’t know now.
But we hope Saitama returns to the fray soon. Seeing him fight a couple monsters will be very cool.
But of course, he might take a while to arrive. After all, if Saitama comes, all the villains will probably be defeated way too easily. So Murata is taking his time, fleshing out the other characters by having them fight.
This is the way this series handles itself. Because in presence of Saitama, it is very hard to get a super intense match.
We are at the absolute endgame of the Monster Association arc. Remember when this began? Right back during the fighting tournament where Gouketsu was defeated by Saitama.
One Punch Man 148 manga will be continuing on with the narrative and showing us more interesting battles.
Also, there are some rumors of One Punch Man Season 3 getting announced very soon.
One Punch Man Chapter 148 Release Date:
Initially, Yusuke Murata’s One Punch Man was a monthly manga. ONE released the webcomic independently and irregularly, since he handles Mob Psycho 100 as well. Anyways, recently this series is coming out biweekly and that is fantastic news for us.
We expect One Punch Man 148 raw scans to be released somewhere along the first fortnight of July, 2021. Could be anytime but hopefully it will be during the first week.
We are trying to pin down the real dates for you but since this series has gotten so irregular, we do not know the dates yet. However, once the raws come out, the fan scans do not take much time.
We get surprisingly good fan translations, and they should be out in July, 2021 too.
Couple days after the raws and the fan version is released, we get the official English release of One Punch Man 148. But of course, it will be titled as One Punch Man 146, since the official release had naming issues.
Visit Viz website or Shonen Jump app to read the chapter legally and free of cost.
One Punch Man Manga 148 Discussion:
Bomb and Bang are such a great duo. But apparently, Bomb is here to ensure that Bang doesn’t end up killing Garou! Bomb is certainly extremely capable as he manages to match the power of the present Garou.
One Punch Man Manga 148 will begin the next fight for Garou, that is, facing his master.
How did Garou beat Bomb?
Initially, Garou vs Bomb was nearly even. They both drove each other to fight seriously and were so so fast that Fubuki could not keep up with them; they had nearly gone invisible!
Bomb showed promise when Garou tried to attack Fubuki and knocked him back pretty well.
But as it progressed, Bob realized that Garou has grown. After fighting tons of opponents, he has inculcated various techniques with his own and developed his own unique style.
Maybe it is because of the monsterification, or maybe its just Garou’s talent, but Bang’s finest disciple has become something else.
One Punch Man 148 will begin Bang vs Garou. The defeated Bomb warns that Garou has gotten stronger and Bang must be weary of that. Garou has evolved and now, he is more dangerous than ever.
The difference in strength became apparent, when Garou managed to nullify Bomb’s attack using the same move!
Can Fuhrer Ugly be defeated?
Before we start on this, let us look at the webcomic for a bit. Over there, Fuhrer Ugly was fighting Tatsumaki and Bang. He has Gums, Natural Water, Psykos and others assisting him.
However, the battle didn’t go well for him and Bang eliminated him by drilling a massive hole in his chest.
Now the manga. Fuhrer Ugly was defeated by Bang but now, drenched in stomach acid, he has gained more power. Not only is he alive, he is actually causing immense trouble to the heroes.
He nearly melted Darkshine, who has incredibly tough skins. It will be interesting to see how he is handled.
The swordsman probably won’t get to him – their swords will melt. So that means someone who can manipulate energy should try and beat him. In a physical confrontation, Fuhrer has a massive advantage.
Chapter 148 raw scans will show whether this cadre can be handled or not.
