Zoro’s Shishisonson was a sight to behold. After many weeks, we have gotten a solid Zoro moment and fans couldn’t be more excited. With Sanji detained at the same time, another round of Zoro fans vs Sanji fans has begun. Which side are you on? Who do you think will come out on top in One Piece 998?
We still have to wait for the official translations but in the fan version, Yamato referred to Kaido as a literal dragon and she talked ‘dragons’, as in plural. Once again, we believe this is a hint to the existing theory that Kaido and Yamato are dragons with human model devil fruits.
So apparently, Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, has updated his statement regarding the end of the series. A couple of months ago, he said that the series will end in 4-5 years. But now, he says that if this Covid condition keeps hampering the releases, then it might take up to 10 years.
This doesn’t mean the series will go on for 10 years; don’t be mistaken. This just means that it might get stretched a bit, since Covid quarantine is still happening.
Wano Act 1 was 15 chapters. Act 2 was 30 chapters. So, Act 3 will probably be around 45 chapters. Mr. Morj points out that since Wano is written similar to a Kabuki theatre play, the third act will take the direction of a Kabuki play, which is typically a tragedy.
One Piece chapter 998 brings us to the final few chapters of Act 3 and we expect it to end around Chapter 1002.
Now, we all have high expectations from Chapter 1000. It is a phenomenal milestone and we all are very hyped for it. What do you think it will contain? Obviously, it will be centered in Wano.
We believe, Luffy vs Kaido round 2 will start from this chapter. This gives 2 chapters where Luffy can fight hard and get defeated again, hence the tragedy.
The Onigashima arc will soon be animated in the One Piece anime and fans are very excited to watch it. Talking about anime, God Of High School Season 2 will be announced soon and you should check it out for sure.
One Piece Manga 998 Raw Scans Release Date:
Following his usual pattern, Oda is taking a break next week. It’s a bummer but we move on. Anyways, this means that December must have 3 chapters for 1000 to be released in 2020. Fortunately, there are 5 Wednesdays in December, so it is still very possible.
On December 9, 2020, One Piece Manga 998 will be released. This Japanese version can be rented off shonenjumplus website.
Recently, the fan translation is released on Saturdays. So expect the fan translation to come on December 12, 2020. You have to google for them.
Lastly, the Official scans for One Piece 998 will be released on December 13, 2020. This English translation is known to be more accurate. You can find it on Viz or Mangaplus websites, or the Shonen Jump app. It will be available for free, and legal too.
According to the latest news, Tower Of God Season 2 and Kaguya Sama Season 3 anime release dates are going to be announced soon. So if you are a fan of any of these anime then you should read the article for sure.

It is the calm before the storm – the Korean scans and the raws have been released and we’re here to present the detailed spoilers to you.
In the cover, we can see Enel vibing to music. The chapter is named Ancient Model.
Kaido’s men had no idea that their boss can lift an island.
Meanwhile, Marco first helps Chopper with his flames. Chopper gets help from Mink doctor nurse duo Miyagi and Tristan. He’s about to make the antidote. He will get protection from the Yakuza as he gets busy with the process.
Meanwhile Marco offers to take some of the Strawhats to the roof of Onigashima. But prior to that, he spreads his fire all across the room and this raises the body temperature of everyone present.
Apoo gets up from Zoro’s attack and tries to retrieve the antidote. But X Drake turns into Allosaurus and stops him. Drake too, will stay at the Live Floor to protect Chopper.
Luffy and Jinbe reach the fourth floor. Since it has multiple strong enemies, the latter offers to stay back as Luffy goes on. They wonder whether Sanji has gone to fight some strong enemy and Luffy questions his observation haki.
As Franky clashes with Sasaki, the Tobi Roppo transforms into a Triceratops. And at the 3rd floor, Sanji runs around; all his opponents are women and he can’t retaliate. Black Maria transforms into a giant spider – Rosamygale grauvogeli. Sanji wonders if he is in heaven.
At the 4th floor, Who’s Who faces against Jinbe. This Tobi Roppo’s whole crew has a cat theme and he himself has the Sabretooth tiger fruit. Who’s Who and Jinbe converse about titles, Shichibukai and identity.
Ulti and Page One have transformed too and they’re searching for Nami and Usopp. They’re bursting through the walls, frantically searching.
In the Onigashima storeroom, Yamato hides with Momo. There is a dragon whose face has been smashed by something hot. Apparently, Yamato’s friend did this to the statue when it was kept at the entrance. Apparently, he came to kill Kaido. We see a silhouette of Ace.

One Piece 998 First Impressions:
A great chapter to set up the final war. We get amazing exposition as the characters and their powers are properly introduced to us. The matchups might just work out because the Tobi Roppo shouldn’t be carried over to the next phase, that is, the phase of defeating Jack, Queen, King and Kaido.
The chapter is named well since most of the Tobi Roppo have ancient models of Devil fruits. All of them turned out to be the Zoan type, the specialty of the Beast Pirates.
Luffy approaches the last floor alone. Creates so much suspense and at the same time, Marco’s offer to fly upwards gives us hope of a combined Strawhat front.
We knew Ace had been to Wano and his presence affected many. What the older brother failed to do, can the younger brother manage to do so? We’ll find out soon enough!
One Piece Chapter 998 Discussion:
With the island being transported, how do you think the Heart Pirates are handling the situation? Can they follow it in their submarine? And what if the Big Mom Pirates still haven’t pulled onshore?
They will simply find nothing in place of the island! Wouldn’t that be funny? One Piece 998 will probably have many people realizing that the island is flying so we are expecting some good reactions.
Why did Sanji get caught so easily?
Fans are quite annoyed by Sanji’s stupid move. He rushed in and got detained. Not very fitting for a future Pirate King’s left hand! Or is it? One of Sanji’s key character aspects is his chivalry. This right here is not a gag moment.
Sanji is protective of women – how can he ignore the pleas of a woman who is possibly getting harassed? In fact, him not going for the rescue would be uncharacteristic of him.
One Piece 998 will probably show Sanji removing his bonds. We expect a short clash with Black Maria, but of course, Sanji won’t kick her. He can always dodge her attacks, since his Observation Haki is good and then fly away using raid suit.
But what if he makes an ally out of Maria? She seems promiscuous and not that attached to anything. In fact, she just wanted to party with Kaido. Quite a gentle woman with the injured Momo, Maria also stated her distaste for action. So there is a possibility that in One Piece 998, she will become an ally of the Samurai.
Why were the Headliners ignored?
This is a hilarious gag by Oda. Every couple chapters, he is introducing these Headliners with unique beast powers. Luffy and Jinbe are easily getting past them, as if they are no threat at all. This is sort of training for Luffy and also shows that Kaido’s elaborate system can be crushed if the individual is strong enough.
Once again, Poker and Mizerka got ignored. The Headliners are falling in line to be treated like trash and thrown off in a jiffy. Basically, much ado about nothing! LOL.
Can Luffy reach Kaido in time?
One Piece Chapter 998 will show Luffy at the penultimate 4th floor. So, the 5th and last floor comes at Chapter 999. And thus, Luffy reaches the roof on Chapter 1000, and faces Kaido. Very elegant planning by Oda. The headliners along the way will hinder him in no way.
And now, it seems like Luffy has a short following because of the Udon prisoners. They came in very handy by building that nice ladder. If there are beast pirate troops guarding the passage to the roof, Luffy can entrust them to these Udon folk. And if Jack appears, Jinbei is there to take him on.
Why did Zoro get so enraged by Kiku’s arm?
Over time, Zoro and Kiku have formed a nice friendship. He likes that big woman and her swordsman spirit. She is probably the Akazaya with whom he connects the most. And seeing her chopped arm struck a nerve in him. He got reminded once more that cutting Kaido is his goal and he mustn’t waste time on fodder.
One Piece 998 will probably show Zoro clashing with Queen. Using Shishisonson, Zoro proved that he has gotten serious and wants to take out a big opponent. While we don’t see Queen as his final opponent, a clash is very possible. Queen may be goofy by personality, but he too was somewhat shocked by Zoro’s ranged attack.
Can Chopper cure everyone in time?
Chopper showed great integrity by deciding to heal both allies and enemies – he is a doctor first. One Piece manga 998 will probably show that Marco is heating up people with his flames while Chopper makes the antidote. Chopper has already figured out how the virus works so mass producing the antidote won’t be a problem. And Drake will probably be there to guard him.
Zoro showed faith in Chopper when he entrusted the floor to him. There comes these short moments, that solidify their friendship a lot.
Does Zoro have Conqueror’s Haki?
We believe he will awaken it. This was first talked about in a Morj video, where he pointed out that Zoro can be a leader at times. And in Wano, which is supposed to be his own arc, he has gone out of his way to be as non-leader as possible. He didn’t even round up samurai!
We believe Brook thinking the earthquake is being caused by Zoro’s Haoshoku is a premonition about Zoro awakening it. And it is definitely possible, because even now, Zoro’s vice captain moments are cherished – like when he stopped Luffy from chasing Usopp.
Why is Kaido transporting the island?
We know Kaido’s dream. He plans to start the biggest war. His base of operations will be Onigashima and Wano will be enslaved by him. Yamato will control Wano while he focuses on the world.
One Piece Chapter 998 will probably reveal some more about why Kaido needs the island in place of Flower Capital ( except the fact that his expensive mansion is in Onigashima ).
Yamato and Black Maria seem to know about this. Maybe Yamato will turn into a dragon and try to stop this. One Piece 998 can be a very interesting chapter if dragon form Yamato tries to stop Dragon Kaido!
