Two New Yonkou Announced: Who Are They?
In the early spoilers leaked on the One Piece subreddit, the names of the two new emperors of the sea was announced, and it’s none other Luffy and Buggy The Clown.

It’s easy to digest that Luffy has become one of the four emperors, but the whole fandom is confused as to how one of the weakest pirates, Buggy The Clown become one of the four emperors.
There are many crazy theories making rounds online. Everyone has their own theories on how Buggy came to be known as one of the emperors of the sea and why did Law and Kid not become Yonkou’s?
To understand all of this, first, we need to think what Yonkou’s are and what does someone need in order to become a Yonkou?
What is a Yonkou?
Yonkou also known as emperor of the sea is someone who has crazy unparalleled strength, whose name is known, respected, and feared all around the world.
They usually have thousands of members in their crew and they have their own territories. Luffy fulfills all the criteria of being a Emperor since he has proven his strength after defeating Kaido and has thousands of members by his side through his allies.
But what about Buggy?
According to some fans, when marines started chasing Buggy after the Levely arc, he somehow ended up on the same island as Mihawk.
Mihawk for some reason helped him and knowing our big mouth clown, he blabbed to the world about his ties with Mihawk. Thus establishing his new strength and getting recognized as a Yonkou.
Fans have mixed reactions about Buggy becoming an Emperor of the sea. Some like this side of Oda where he is trolling, but some fans are even angry.
