Lookism Season 1 was released on 8 December 2022 and as of now there is no release date or renewal announcement for season 2. Fans have been wondering why there is no other season even though the anime was a great hit. There could be several reasons why Lookism Season 2 hasn’t been renewed but it’s most likely because the studio that animated the show already has other anime to cover.

In the world of Lookism, where one’s social standing is determined by attractiveness, Park Hyung-Seok, a high school student who faces bullying due to his weight and appearance, grapples with the challenges that come with it.
However his life takes a turn when he wakes up to find himself inhabiting two bodies; his portly self and a new tall and attractive form. This dual existence allows him to navigate through two worlds.
One where he is seen as unattractive and the other where he is admired for his looks. As Hyung-Seok adjusts to his body remarkable changes occur in his life. People who once treated him poorly now shower him with adoration leading to popularity.
The first season primarily revolves around the festival arc in which both Hyung-Seok and Duk-Hwa participate. The story reaches its climax when they perform a song together at their school’s festival.
A crucial moment arises when a representative from a record label offers Hyung-Seok a deal but he turns it down unless it includes his friend Duk-Hwa. While their performance catches the attention of a musician it also hints at storylines, for a second season.

Plot of Lookism Season 2
Lookism Season 1 released on December 8, 2022 has covered till chapter 27 that’s till School Festival Arc. There are more than 400 chapters in Lookism, which means there is a lot of source material left to be animated. If the season 2 is picked from chapter 28 the anime will adapt the PaprikaTV arc.
In this arc both Duk-Hwa and Hyung-Seok will both start live streaming together and showcase their talent online. More characters will be introduced and Hyung-Seok will face new problems and will have trouble keeping his double life secret.

Official Cast for Lookism Season 2 haven’t been announced yet but there’s a strong possibility that cast from season 1 will make it’s return.
