The new chapter is completely awesome. We are late with the spoilers because there was a lot of ambiguity surrounding them. Up until recently, a lot of fake spoilers were going around so we had to wait for the confirmed One Piece 1069 spoilers.
One Piece Chapter 1069 is filled with incredible action and infodump as well. Along with us, the Strawhats get to know more about Luffy and that is highly appreciated. Also, the result of the fight was very satisfactory to us.
There is a break next week. This is not a scheduled break from Oda sensei since it has only been 2 chapters since the last break. That said, we should be ready for more and more breaks in the next month. Major holidays are coming.

Rob Lucci gets thrashed: One Piece 1069 Spoilers
- The name of the Chapter is “Everything Exists for a reason”. The cover story is that of MADS Research Centre. It was funded by Du Feld, one of the richest loan sharks.
- We see Lucci attacking Luffy without getting clearance from HQ to attack an Emperor. He has already awakened his devil fruit, which makes him look fiercer with black flames all over.
- Luffy sees the broken Atlas and retaliates with Gear 5. It is easy for him to handle Lucci now and he enjoys the fight.
- Luffy uses the new Gomu Gomu no Mogura, which turns the floor into a fist and punches Lucci causing incredible damage.
- In Marine HQ, Akainu finds out that Kizaru is headed to Egghead.
- Sentoumaru orders Seraphim Kuma to attack CP0, who won’t fight because they don’t want to damage Seraphims.
- Vegapunk reaches the main lab where the Strawhats are. He says that in the book of Devil Fruits, there is no Gomu Gomu no Mi.
- Vegapunk goes on to say Luffy is similar to Nika, a nearly forgotten god. He goes on to explain more about the Devil Fruits and their future.
- Sentoumaru appears with more Seraphims. The command chain on Seraphims is Gorosei over Vegapunk over Sentoumaru over anyone with the Command Ship.
- Sentoumaru is indebted to Vegapunk for liberating him from a life of poverty. Luffy talks happily with him. Sentoumaru requests Luffy to take Vegapunk away.
- This is when Rob Lucci recovers and attacks Sentoumaru, thoroughly injuring him. He wants the command of the Seraphims.
- Luffy is shocked and angry with Lucci after this.
One Piece 1069 Manga Spoilers First Impressions
The fact that Lucci got scared after fighting Luffy speaks a lot. We were scared that Lucci would end up giving us a hard time to Luffy but thankfully, that was not the case.
Foes of this level can’t challenge an Emperor. Gear 5 is simply overkilled for Lucci. In One Piece Chapter 1069, maybe Luffy will dish out some more beating.
Until now, the Strawhats were unaware of Luffy’s true nature. Hell, Luffy himself does not understand his power. He just calls Gear 5 his free state.
Thanks to Vegapunk, the Strawhats learn the reality behind Luffy’s fruit, up to a certain extent. Over the course of the next few chapters, we hope that all the Strawhats will get to know more.
Kizaru is coming. This is very intriguing information. As of now, we know that Admirals are the strongest forces of the Marines. And the Marines stay in balance with the pirates in terms of power.
Hence, Kizaru and Luffy should be evenly matched at this point, possibly. We are excited to see if they clash and prove who is stronger.
It is clear that Seraphims will play a very important role. They are invaluable to any side and having their command is very helpful. We see even Rob Lucci trying to steal their command.
However, the top priority is given to Gorosei, not Vegapunk. So a battle might break out where different sides try to land themselves one of the Seraphims.
