On October 14, 2020, Black Clover Chapter 268 will be released in Weekly Shonen Jump’s new issue. From there, Chapter 268 raw scans will be retrieved. They will be taken by scanlation teams and leak posters.
The fan translations will arrive after careful translation, redrawing, typesetting and proofreading. The date for its arrival is 16 October, 2020.
Black Clover Chapter 268 official English translations will arrive on October 18, 2020. You can read them for free on the websites of Viz Media and Mangaplus. They’re also available on the Shonen Jump app.

Questions we have been asking since the beginning will be answered. And from the looks of it, there is a lot of complicated history involved it. Let us start.
Why is Asta so friendly towards his opponent?
We know Asta to be a very stupid boy, but he always acts properly in the battlefield, never undermining his opponents. But now that he is facing a Devil, a creature that has given endless trouble to him and his comrades, Asta appears friendly.
That is because Asta’s goodness is far greater than his darkness. He doesn’t hate the whole Devil-kind; just the ones that messed up his life. Asta hates Zagred, because he was the incarnation of evil. Asta has nothing but killing intent for Dante and Lucifero.
However, Asta likes his own Devil and will treat him fairly. He doesn’t consider Devils to be pure evil. He even disregards whatever insults and mal intent his Devil showed, since he used those for his own development.
He is grateful for his Devil power; without that, being a Magic Knight would be impossible for him. Not to mention, Asta can somehow sense emotions!
Why is Asta’s Devil different in appearance? What is his motive?
This is one of the bigger mysteries right now. Black Clover 268 raw scans will probably reveal more about this. Maybe this has something to do with what Dante said about Asta’s Devil; Asta will be able to draw out 100% of his devil’s powers.
Maybe all Devils look like this and their power simply warps their appearance. Asta’s Devil has a deeper history to him.
And that is probably why the Devil doesn’t want to kill Asta. Nacht said Devils are pure evil, but we can disregard that. Nacht’s judgement is way to rigid. It seems like the Devil wants a body; maybe it wants some freedom. Question is, what will he do with it?
Black Clover Chapter 268 spoilers may probably reveal more of this Devil’s backstory and hopefully, we will get to know his name. We believe he is a Devil who doesn’t live in the Underworld and yet, he is some sort of high-ranking one – maybe the former King!
Who is this mysterious woman?
That is Asta’s mother. In Chapter 242, When Asta was going berserk with the Devil power, he has this minor flashback and that was followed by a meeting with the Devil.
From the looks of it, Asta’s mom possessed the same Devil. It’s possible that she was magicless too. She looks just as optimistic as Asta and probably established a friendly relation with the Devil.
She met some unfortunate fate and maybe the Devil feels guilty. And that might be the reason for him wanting a body, to make things right. Gives us hope that Asta’s mother still lives.
Black Clover 268 will probably say that Asta was abandoned at the church after her possible death. If you remember the first chapter, you know that Asta didn’t receive his Grimoire immediately. He got it later, outside. So that means he inherited it from his mother, and not the library.
