Undoubtedly, fans are all thrilled right now. One Piece fandom is a different breed – the amount of discussion and analysis and easter egg finding done by us surpasses any other anime fandom.
We all were wondering why Oda was dragging on the Pound story when it had been concluded so well – Oda had a plan all along; he wanted Pound to have a happy ending and so did we. We were just too caught up in the story and realism wishes that we forgot that this is a shonen. Pound meeting his daughters was very heartwarming.
One Piece Volume 97 is out – as usual, it has put up a decent number. Noticeably, the opening week sales have been greater than the last 3 volumes; we’re hoping this volume reaches 1.8 million numbers – or higher!
The upcoming Chapter 992 of One Piece manga will be continuing with the war – hopefully, even a lesser number of fights will be offscreen. But then again, the progression of the story comes first – so we are hoping to see a great development from Drake and Luffy’s alliance.

One Piece On Break This Week Because Of Oda’s Health
According to the latest news, the upcoming Chapter of One Piece manga is on break for this week and will be releasing in the second week of October.
This is because of a downfall in Oda’s health and as everyone who reads One Piece, we wish him good health and hope that he recovers very soon.
We have updated the new release date down below for all of you to check.
Remember, Oda has said that he wants to publish One Piece 1000 in 2020 – so we can assume that the breaks will be minimal from now on. We have 8 chapters till 1000 and 13 weeks to do it in. If Oda goes normally, we will be done in time.

One Piece Chapter 992 Release Date:
One Piece Manga 992 official scans will be out on 11th October, 2020. These are the official translations and the scans are high quality.

One Piece Manga Predictions And Discussion:
After reading the chapter, multiple questions are arising and some have been answered; Chapter 991 was more of an action chapter. So, we will be discussing the common issues ahead.
Does the addition of X Drake fall into place?
Let us take a break and visit all the way back to Marineford. Remember what Mihawk said about Luffy? He said that Luffy has the power to attract and make allies of most people and that is the most scary ability of all. Time and time again, Luffy has attracted great allies – Crocodile, Bellamy, Minks, Mr 3 and Mr 2, Whitebeard Pirates, Law and so on. So X Drake finding Luffy a viable option is completely possible.
To add to this, we got a fantastic flashback with Coby – this establishes both Coby’s position in SWORD and his current high rank; high enough to converse freely with Drake. Plus it still highlights Coby’s love and admiration for the future pirate king. One Piece 992 will have Drake move together with the Strawhats and fight Apoo.
What will happen to Usopp and Nami?
We know Usopp and Nami are the weakest of the Strawhats and from the looks of it, they have bit more than they can chew. One Piece Chapter 992 might show them fight Ulti and Page One; it will be hard on them. These opponents are quite over their levels and it might be their biggest challenge yet.
But hold on. We have seen amazing displays of Nami’s power. With Zeus, she can dish out immense damage. Meanwhile Usopp has been quiet since Dressrosa. It will make a lot of sense if Usopp can step up to the challenge. Maybe we will see haki from him, maybe it will be a greater attack. Either way, if Usopp does this, he will definitely be worthy of travelling to Elbaf with his head held high.
What will be the upcoming Strawhat battles?
The first one that comes to mind is Franky vs Hacha. Out Shogun Franky can have a manly battle with the dangerous number. We believe he will win but if more numbers show up, Franky will be in trouble. Robin and Brook will probably take some time to help the samurai take out normal beast pirate members.
Then there is Jinbe – we believe One Piece 992 or some future chapter will show him facing Sasaki head on. It will be a fishman battle and hopefully, it will be underwater. Sanji might find an unlikely opponent right now, or maybe he will assist Luffy.
One Piece Manga 992 might show Zoro and Drake fighting Apoo and properly beating him this time. Maybe the whole chapter can be dedicated to the fight, where Apoo draws in more numbers and Zoro and Drake beats them all.
What will be Luffy’s next move?
Luffy wants to go to the roof. For that, he must take out Queen. It will be very interesting if Luffy engages Queen right now. The calamity is using some kind of poison weapon and we know how much trouble Luffy had with poisoned prisoners. A vengeance battle is very possible.
This does fall in place with our earlier prediction where we said that Luffy will face Queen and Zoro will face Jack. And we are still rooting for Marco vs King with assistance from flying Sanji – it an aerial battle and it will add a new layer to the war.
What will be the next to the rooftop battle?
First of all, Nekomamushi and Inuarashi Sulong forms are some of the greatest character designs we’ve seen and definitely worth getting silhouetted for the last few chapters. They formed the best moment in this chapter – the Sulong Guardians and Muskeeteers were somewhat disappointing but all is forgiven because of this gorgeous reveal. We will definitely try to show you the fan colored Neko and Inu in the next article.
One Piece 992 can also show a fight between the scabbards and Kaido. But according to Mr. Morj, that will possibly come in 993. The Marineford war went tragic after Chapter 573 and Oda might parallel with it right now. Chapter 993 can be the place where it all goes down the drain.
The scabbards are planting death flags all over themselves. The chapter is literally named ‘Let us Die’. By the end, there will definitely be scabbard deaths and Kinemon seems the most likely. That is quite sad, considering he won’t see O-Tsuru. But Kinemon lived upto his own name by cutting Kaido’s attack.
What will Kaido do next?
Now that Jack and his henchmen are out of the picture, all that is left is for Kaido to fight the scabbards and possibly squash them all. One Piece 992 or 993 might be the chapter that reveals Kaido’s hybrid form. Every Zoan has one and we still haven’t seen Kaido’s.
Kaido will fight the scabbards in a bloody battle – we can only hope that Oda will not off-screen it. The Neko-Inu vs Jack fight off-screen is acceptable because the Zou issue has been solved mostly. We weren’t hoping for a satisfactory end to that storyline.

One Piece Manga 992 Raw Scans Release
One Piece 992 raw scans will be available in the newest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. You can also find them for a minimal fee on the Shonen Jump Plus website. The date of release is October 8th, 2020.
Since the raws are in Japanese, translations are required. Scanlation teams will deliver the chapter to us fans on 9th October 2020 most probably and that is when you can expect the spoilers to get released.
