High Card Back Story
Fourland Kingdom is a nation made up of many islands in the Atlantic Ocean. The 52 X-Playing Cards, commonly regarded as the first deck of playing cards ever created, were discovered in this region.
These cards were no common playing cards, they possessed special supernatural power and people who met certain conditions could acquire those inhuman abilities.
One day, the X-Playing Cards that the government-owned were scattered across Fourland, which resulted in issues brought onto the kingdom. Pinochle, one of the trusted businesses by the monarch, was sent on a secret mission to bring back the cards.
Episode 2 Theories and Predictions
With the first episode being a sure hit, fans are already coming up with different theories for High Card. The most popular is whether or not the meaning of cards and the powers have any correlation.
We saw 10 diamonds (Unlucky Poky) in possession of Lucky Lunchman, the card which represents lots of joy and wealth that life is composed of and we definitely witnessed the card’s power as it changed his cards to the highest card in turn winning him lots of wealth.
We also saw the use of 3 of diamonds(Marble Rumble), which is a card of a professional career, and that you should maintain a keen interest in your work and your business and not letting another shiny object to distract you. The shiny object here feels like the use of marble.
Another theory is of the shattered 2 spades, which Finn owns. People are wondering if its power has been altered and if, then how? Will there be 52 cards with 52 different powers? Will the people who possess high cards, like ace and king, will be more powerful, or will they be the ones who hold more than one card?
We can’t wait to unveil the secrets those cards hold. Hopefully, everything will be answered when the story progresses. For now, let’s hold our horses and wait for the second episode of High Card.

A relentless war rages and we see Iris fleeing away but while escaping the briefcase with a deck of 52 cards opens up and is scattered all around.
The story progresses a month later when Finn, the main protagonist of the series, is introduced. He is seen to be pickpocketing several people on the streets.
