A sad news for everyone. One Piece 1070 has been delayed and will not be published on time this week on the Shonen Jump website, the new release date is December 25th, 2022.
For the last couple of weeks, we have been warning all the fans about the series getting some breaks due to the incoming holidays. And now, it has been confirmed. Starting from One Piece 1069, the series will be released every alternate week, essentially making it a bi-monthly manga.
In this article, we are exploring the upcoming One Piece manga breaks. Of course, this bi-monthly release will only be temporary.
If it stuck to this schedule permanently, it would take Oda sensei 10 more years to finish it and the man has made it clear, he has absolutely no intention of doing such a thing.
Breaks do make it hard for us. Given that this is a series meant to have 4 chapters a month, the flow will suffer quite a lot. Still, breaks mean we will get early spoilers once in a while. So let us take a look at the upcoming schedule.
One Piece Manga Schedule:
- One Piece 1069 officially releases on December 11, 2022.
- Next week is a break, which means no chapter on December 18, 2022.
- Again, Chapter 1070 comes out on December 25, 2022. Merry Xmas!
- However, there will be no chapter on January 1, 2023. Crappy New Year?!
- On January 6, 2022, there will be an early release of One Piece 1071.
- But again, no chapter on January 15, 2023 due to Jump break.
- Lastly, One Piece 1072 on January 22, 2023. This marks the end of hiatuses.
Once these 6 weeks go by, we hope to go back to the normal schedule of 3 chapters per month. However, holidays will keep coming here and there so we can’t actually get very comfortable with the schedule!
One Piece Current Arc: Admiral Versus Yonkou
Right now, we all are in the highly exciting Egghead arc. The end of the Wano arc ended up hurting all of us – the developments were less impressive than expected. However, Post Wano was nothing short of exceptional for us.
And after that, we arrived at Egghead island. Vegapunk’s presence, the abundance of information, and the dip into the real lore of the series, all of this has us very excited. And with the CP0 involved, fans are expecting a whole lot right now.
Vegapunk has instantly become a fan favorite. We have the gluttony York, the fighting Atlas, the wise Pythagoras, the meticulous Edison, the evil Lilith and the good Shaka. The satellites are great but in front of Stella, or the original body, they all pale. That Einstein lookalike has entertained us a lot.
Lastly, the possible fight between Kizaru and Luffy. From the latest chapter, we see that Kizaru is already towards Egghead. And of course he isn’t going to enjoy Vegapunk’s amazing tech. A fight is about to break out. Last time, Kizaru completely outclassed Luffy. But how about this time, now that Luffy is so much stronger?
One Piece Next Arc: Journey to Elbaf
Given that Luffy takes Vegapunk with him, a lot of new possibilities open up. And we strongly believe that Elbaf is next. So much knowledge is hidden in Elbaf and the much-awaited Usopp development will arrive.
Now that Jaguar D Saul is known to be alive and the fact that Ohara lives on in its books, Robin is interested in Elbaf as well. Going there will be incredibly beneficial to the crew and the adventure will be incredible.
Also, many people have theorized that Elbaf will have the fated meeting between Shanks and Luffy. In fact, many fans believe that they will have a Davy Back style fight on Elbaf. We will just read ahead to find out more.
